Golfweek released their Best 2024 list of top private layouts as judged by an international panel of raters and Kiawah Island Club’s Cassique and River Course were both featured in the “Best Private Golf Courses in Each State” in South Carolina.

The hundreds of members of the ratings panel continually evaluate courses and rate them based on 10 criteria on a points basis of 1 through 10. They also file a single, overall rating on each course. Those overall ratings are averaged to produce these rankings.

Along with the private golf course rankings, Golf Week also released their best public-access golf courses in each state, which includes the Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s Ocean Course, Osprey Point, and Cougar Point.
