1. Fripp Island –– Beaufort, SC

At Fripp Island Resort, there are multiple courts suited for everyone. Fripp Island Racquet Club features a 10-court setup with two hard surface courts and eight fast-dry clay courts. Additionally, six pickleball courts are reserved for club members. The Racquet Club is centrally located on the island and only a few feet away from the breathtaking beach. Seasonal events and round-robin competitions take place year-round and are available to Racquet Club members. 

2. Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head –– Hardeeville, SC

Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head invites those aged 55 and up to reside in a relaxing and laid-back community inspired by singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffet. Because the homes within the community are undemanding, residents are more energized to engage in their favorite hobbies including tennis and pickleball. Available indoor and outdoor, tennis and pickleball courts allow residents to engage in friendly or competitive matches. Also as recent as this year, outdoor lighting was installed on two more tennis courts allowing for safe nighttime matches. Tennis truly can be played any time, anywhere.  

3. Hampton Hall Club –– Bluffton, SC

In the Lowcountry of South Carolina, Hampton Hall Club offers fabulous amenities. The club highlights an 18-hole golf course, a full-service fitness center, and a dynamic tennis club suited for both experienced and beginner players. Along with that, the expert coaching staff concentrates on positive instruction allowing your tennis skills and enthusiasm to grow. Above all, there are many opportunities to make fast friends. New players can meet through different social events offered by the club.  

4. Seabrook Island –– Seabrook Island, SC

Seabrook Island is encompassed by tidal marshes, coastal forests, and uncrowded Atlantic beaches. Those who reside in the enclave can choose from a selection of activities such as golf, horseback riding, and the racquet club. The Seabrook Island racquet club boasts as they remain on the Top 25 Tennis Resorts in the nation. There are 15 clay courts, four of which have outdoor lighting. Each court has a canopy, seats, and chilled water. This allows players to rest between matches, stay hydrated, and spark conversations with fellow competitors. 

5. Grand Dunes –– Myrtle Beach, SC

Grand Dunes is a family-centered community as it currently houses 1,000 families. At full development, it will provide up to 5,000 households. Keeping family in mind, Grand Dunes includes public and private amenities for people of all ages. Most notably, Grand Dunes is known for its Tennis Club as it is named “Tennis Club of the Year” by South Carolina’s Tennis Association in 2003. The facility offers 10 Har-Tru courts, eight of which light up, and a tennis sports shop. Grand Dunes tennis instructors are also certified by the United States Tennis Association (USTA). An adult or child can find proper tennis training and competitive matches within the community.

6. Savannah Lakes Village –– McCormick, SC

Tucked between three state parks and a national forest, Savannah Lakes Village is a lakeside neighborhood surrounded by woods and the freshwater coast of South Carolina. 7. The Cliffs –– Upstate South Carolina

The Cliffs have 17 pickleball courts, distributed among the seven communities. Moreover, The Cliffs has 22 tennis courts in total. There are 16 top-notch Har-Tru clay courts and a majority can be lit for play lasting late into the evening. Players of all skill levels are welcome to participate in singles and doubles matches during every day of the week. 

8. Kiawah Island Club –– Kiawah Island, SC

Last, but certainly not least, Kiawah Island provides a diverse range of racquet sports including tennis, pickleball, and squash. Club Members have access to four Har-Tru courts and two red clay tennis courts at the River Course Clubhouse. By a team of knowledgable tennis experts, Kiawah Island staff provides personal training all year long on public and private courses. Additionally, Kiawah Island participates in the U.S. Open Interclub Matches, Spring and Fall Tennis Weekends, Breakfast at Wimbledon, and other unique tennis occasions. These events bring Members together through intense competition and friendly rivalry. The Sports Pavilion now has more tennis courts, squash courts, and pickleball courts.
