7 Upcoming Kiawah Island Events for Club Members

Summer is in the air on Kiawah Island! With the warm weather, seemingly endless daylight hours, and relaxing beach days, the Island is a fantastic place to spend the summertime. And Members of the Kiawah Island Club can look forward to a variety of family-friendly activities and upscale events taking place throughout the season. 

From Father’s Day brunch to surfing lessons, we have compiled a list of exciting private Club events happening this summer on Kiawah Island. Let’s take a look! 

1. Father’s Day Brunch | June 19th, 2022 

Spoil Dad with a delicious Sunday Brunch at Tom’s Kitchen on his special day! The menu will feature a variety of savory favorites including loaded sliders, slow-smoked brisket BBQ, shrimp & grits, eggs and omelets to order, and much more. Dad is sure to feel extra appreciated after this delicious Father’s Day meal! 

2. An Evening of Jazz | June 19th, 2022

There’s nothing like summer nights under the stars on Kiawah Island. Spend an evening listening to jazz music at Marsh House with legendary Lowcountry musicians, Steve Simon and The Kings of Jazz. Mingle with other Club Members and enjoy beer, cocktails, and light hors d’oeuvres at this adults-only event. 

3. Nighttime Surf Fishing | June 30th, 2022

During the evening of June 30th, join the Kiawah Island Club for a surf fishing adventure! Since fish are more likely to come closer to the shore after dark, you will have the chance of a lifetime of reeling in a big one! During this time, you can expect to encounter anything from stingrays and redfish to tarpon and even sharks. This is a can’t-miss event for Club Members who crave adventure! 

4. Family Cup | July 1st, 2022

On July 1st, we will be hosting a friendly Family Cup competition at the River Course. Join a team consisting of a parent and child (or grandchild) for an exciting day on the green bonding over your shared love of the game of golf. Flights are determined by the child’s age and grouped by the following divisions: ages 11 and under, 12 to 14, 15 to 17, and 18 and over. 

5. Red, White, & Boom | July 3rd, 2022

Celebrate the Fourth of July a day early at our annual Red, White, & Boom event taking place at the River Course! With local food trucks and delicious Club fare, you will be able to enjoy your summer cookout favorites paired with beer, wine, or specialty cocktails. Gather with friends and family as you enjoy live entertainment and other holiday-themed festivities. 

Not to mention, your children and teens will be entertained with carnival rides, a sports zone, a rock climbing wall, and many more kid-friendly activities. Plus, your little ones will have the opportunity to get their face painted or wear sparkling fairy hair if they so desire. And you can’t forget a balloon animal sidekick for the night. The event will conclude with a dazzling display of fireworks to celebrate Independence Day! 

6. Breakfast at Wimbledon | July 8th, 2022

Club Members are invited to celebrate the traditions of Wimbledon with a morning of organized Round Robin play at the Sports Pavilion. Following the matches, players and spectators will gather at The Sports Pavilion gazebo for an English breakfast as we watch the highly-anticipated Wimbledon semifinals. 

7. Intro to Surf | July 16th, 2022

Join fellow Members at the Beach Club for an introductory surfing lesson by Outdoor Pursuits Specialist, Peter Gudbransen. During this lesson, you will learn the basics of the sport from proper technique to body positioning and more. Plus, he will provide tips for paddling and selecting the perfect wave for an amazing run. Following this lesson, you will be catching some gnarly waves in no time!

In addition to exclusive access to these Kiawah Island events happening this summer, Club Members can participate in a variety of leisure activities and unique experiences all year long. From relaxing at the state-of-the-art Sasanqua Spa and dining at world-class restaurants to spending days in the sun at the golf courses and tennis courts, Club Members are constantly taking full advantage of the countless perks and amenities. Not to mention, the friendships created within the Kiawah Island Club span decades to come. 

Club Memberships are available with the purchase of a Kiawah Island Real Estate home or homesite. Members can choose from three levels of Club Membership — Golf Membership, Sports Membership, and Social Membership depending on their interests. For all three levels, Family Memberships are also available if you so choose.
