Preparing for Your Fishing Trip
Once you have booked a fishing charter, it is time to prepare for your trip! Your captain will supply you with fishing equipment and bait, however, you will need to bring other items to ensure you have the best experience possible. In terms of clothing, we recommend wearing layers, as the weather on the water tends to fluctuate. Sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses are needed to protect you from the bright rays. Don’t forget a camera if you wish to document your big catch!
In terms of food and drink, be sure to check with your captain in order to determine if a meal will be provided or if you will need to bring your own. We recommend packing a cooler with snacks, sandwiches, and plenty of drinks to keep you hydrated throughout the day. First-timers may want to consider bringing motion sickness medication or acupressure wrist bands just in case. It is always better to be over-prepared for a day at sea!
