Spending a day at one of the swimming pools on Kiawah Island is an experience within itself. Here, you won’t find ordinary pools simply placed into the ground. But rather, custom-designed works of art that range from dreamy leisure pools to luxury recreational pools.

Kiawah Island Club Pools

Kiawah Island Club Members have access to some of the best swimming pools on the Island, among other perks. As you will see, each individual pool has its own flair and offers a unique experience. Depending on your summer plans, you will likely choose to spend the day at one pool over another. Here is what Club Members can look forward to:

The Beach Club Pool

Designed by Robert A.M. Stern, The Beach Club is the premier choice for oceanfront family fun. As the Island’s most impressive amenity, this gorgeous space offers three different pools to choose from. This past spring, The Beach Club underwent exciting renovations at the request of Club Members. 

During this time, all three swimming pools, deck, and seating areas received a complete facelift to elevate resident’s pool day experience. The best part? Food service directly to your lounge chair has since been added. In addition, a second service counter at The Shack is now open to provide streamlined poolside service. The Gazebo will also continue its full-service dining operations, making it the perfect spot for a family lunch. 

Marsh House Pool

Located within the Marsh Walk neighborhood, Marsh House is the Kiawah Island Club’s newest addition. Designed to serve as a getaway, the showstopper of this amenity is the infinity pool. From the raised pool deck you are given a front-row seat to some of the best views overlooking Kiawah’s eastern marshland. Adjacent to  Marsh House is the world-famous Ocean Course reaching out to the shores of the Atlantic, which can also be seen from the pool. This swimming pool is an ideal spot for relaxing and to connect with the Island’s beauty.

Along with striking views, you can dine on delicious food to fuel up after a sun-filled day with the family. Or, raise your spirits with a summery craft cocktail featuring fresh ingredients. We recommend heading over to Marsh House pool if you are in the mood for unwinding and rejuvenating.

For those interested in a home within walking distance of Marsh House, The Cottages at Marsh Walk are the newest development on the Island. These turn-key homes include custom-designed floor plans to make the most of Kiawah Living.

Sports Pavilion Pool

A second Members-only option is the pool at the Sports Pavilion. Located inside the gates of the Cassique community, this state-of-the-art sports complex touts a saltwater swimming pool perfect for a post-workout dip. Or, you might also utilize the lap lanes or take an aquatic class to reach your fitness goals. In addition to the lap pool, you will find light fare and healthy juices served under the gazebo and a marvelous whirlpool perfect for recovering those sore muscles.

If you prefer a recreational pool to further your health pursuits, the Sports Pavilion is a wonderful option to do so. Cassique residents enjoy walkable access to the entire Sports Pavilion, one of the greatest perks of living in this well-appointed neighborhood.

The Sandcastle Pool

A local favorite is The Sandcastle, an oceanfront venue featuring three magnificent Kiawah pools. 

For the perfect place to take even your littlest ones, stop by the children’s shallow wading pool for a fun and safe introduction to the water. Older children might prefer to visit the family pool, the largest of the three pools. This kid-friendly swimming pool includes several lap lanes with plenty of space for splashing, wading, and water activities. 

On the other hand, if you are planning an adults-only pool day, look no further than the oceanfront pool. This beautiful swimming pool features a waterfall edge that meets the white sand dunes of Kiawah’s pristine beaches. Because it’s only available to adults over the age of 21, community members tend to use this pool as a gathering place with friends. 

Kiawah Island Golf Resort Pools

The Island’s main resort lends two swimming pool complexes available to resort guests. If you are only visiting for the weekend, don’t miss out on these Kiawah pools!

Night Heron Pool Complex 

Complete with a children’s and family pool, the Resort’s Night Heron Pool Complex delivers fun for all ages. Younger children can play with interactive spray cannons, a splash zone, and two large slides in the smaller pool. Plus, the pool is heated during the spring and fall months to provide summer fun throughout the year! Adults who are looking for some R&R can sit out at the Olympic-size family pool where cocktail and beverage service is available.

West Beach

The West Beach Pool is the resort’s second complex that is also great fun for small children. Here, your kids can play on an aqua playground, a tube slide, and several spray features. While the kids are having their fun, be sure to order some delicious Mexican from the West Beach Cantina and try one of their speciality margaritas!
