A Thanksgiving Tradition Like No Other

This Thanksgiving weekend marked the return of the highly anticipated Rock the River. Taking place the day after Thanksgiving, Members and their families were invited to experience Kiawah Island Club’s premiere concert event in their own backyard. The 18th fairway of the River Course was transformed into an exclusive concert venue for attendees to enjoy the cool fall weather, a variety of delicious dining offerings, open bar, and this year’s headliner–international superstar, Lionel Richie.

Rock the River has become an annual tradition that Club Members and their families look forward to every year. This year introduced Rock the River as a benefit concert in which 100% of all profits went directly towards MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital in Charleston, SC, courtesy of The HEARTest Yard. Established in 2013 by former Carolina Panther Greg Olsen and his wife Kara, The HEARTest Yard is the first and only family support and service program for pediatric cardiovascular patients and their families in the Carolinas.
