The New Year is just around the corner! Whether you prefer to ring in 2022 with your children, or at a high-end cocktail party with friends, there are plenty of Kiawah Island and Charleston NYE events to choose from.

1. New Year’s Family Celebration at Night Heron Park

Ring in the New Year with family-friendly fun for all at Night Heron Park on Kiawah Island. This annual event brings friends and family together for a fun-filled evening of entertainment. With a full a la carte dinner service as well as jump castles, lawn games, and party favors, kids and adults alike are sure to have a blast. The evening wraps up with a spectacular firework finale lighting up the sky at 9pm. 

2. Happy New Year, Charleston! in Marion Square

The annual celebration in the heart of downtown is one of the most anticipated Charleston NYE events of the season. Meet at the Charleston Visitor Center by Marion Square for an evening of family-friendly festivities. The celebration features local food trucks, live band performances, dazzling light displays, and a variety of children’s activities. 

3. Folly Beach Flip-Flop Drop & Fireworks

New York City may have a ball drop at midnight, but Folly Beach has the Flip-Flop Drop! When the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s, massive sparkling flip-flops will descend from the sky to mark the beginning of 2022. The one-of-a-kind event, which features kid-friendly festivities and local lowcountry cuisine, will wrap up with a magical firework display over the beach!

Staying home this New Year’s Eve? The Flip Flop Drop will be live-streamed this year so don’t forget to tune in!

4. New Year’s Eve on the Creek

Ring in the New Year with good food and good friends at New Year’s Eve on the Creek. This joint event hosted by local restaurants Tavern & Table and Red’s Ice House is a great way to celebrate and enjoy the views of Shem Creek. The all-inclusive event features premium food and spirits, live entertainment, and an amazing fireworks show soaring high above the water.

Tickets for this event will be available at Tavern and Table in Mount Pleasant. 

5. Parisian Cocktail Party

Looking to celebrate the New Year while still making it to bed at a reasonable hour? Members of the Kiawah Island Club are invited to ring in the New Year with the French at our Parisian Cocktail party. Join us at The Living Room from 5-7:30 pm to enjoy French cocktails, champagne, charcuterie, cheese, and hors d’oeuvres. A one-minute countdown will begin at 5:59 pm before we all call out “C’est magnifique!”  

6. New Year’s Eve Bash at the River Course

The most anticipated event of the year is finally upon us! Celebrate 2022 in style at the Kiawah Island Club’s annual New Year’s Eve Bash at the River Course. Join us for light hors d’oeuvres, party favors, and a dazzling fireworks show at midnight. Live jazz kicks the evening off followed by the band, Atlanta Groove Factory, to continue the party into the night. This Kiawah Island Club New Year’s Eve tradition is truly a night to remember.
