With the PGA Championship 2021 behind us, the Island is now back to normal. The week in May was a long-awaited event on Kiawah Island, where golf enthusiasts flocked from all over to watch favorite players compete on the famous Ocean Course. A Rundown of the 2021 PGA Championship

At this year’s PGA Championship, a host of top players took on The Ocean Course including Colin Morikawa and Rory McIlory. On the final day, Phil Mickelson narrowly defeated Brooks Koepka to win the Championship.

Players were provided with swing analyses provided by Charles Schwab so they could compare their swing to those of the pros. It is the second time that Kiawah’s Ocean Course has hosted the PGA Championship. Back in 2012, Rory McIlroy won the first event held at the course. Kiawah Island is looking forward to continuing to host PGA tournaments in the future. 

A shuttle service brought homeowners to the course from all of the Island’s neighborhoods to enjoy the day’s events.
