Kiawah Island Club Cassique

Cassique: A Clubhouse Classic

In 2001, the grace and grandeur of the Cassique Clubhouse was introduced to the Island landscape. The social hub of Kiawah’s most private club community, the venue overlooks Tom Watson’s acclaimed Cassique course and the gorgeous tidelands bordering the Kiawah River. The clubhouse, bearing the classic styling of a 19th-century English country manor, welcomes Members to some of Kiawah Island’s most popular special events throughout the year and hosts them daily for first-in-class dining, cocktails, and effortless camaraderie.

Estate Of Grace

Nationally acclaimed architects Shope Reno Wharton brought a wealth of experience to creating Cassique’s premier gathering space. Known for building stately structures in harmony with nature, the firm embraced a British country estate aesthetic, with a nod to British design legend, C.F.A. Voysey. Inside, great window expanses showcase commanding golf and tranquil tideland views. And in keeping the 30,000-square-foot venue’s aesthetic both refined and welcoming, the signature Arts and Crafts architecture of homes throughout Cassique finds a flattering counterpart in the clubhouse facade.

The Taste Makers

Exquisite cuisine is always on the menu at the clubhouse. As a consultant to Cassique’s celebrated Voysey’s, TV’s Top Chef Tom Colicchio set sky-high standards for the creation of every dish. Today, Executive Chef Mike O’Shaughnessy has elevated those standards with an ever-evolving menu of fresh, inventive selections. The pairing of local seafood and produce with stellar service and gorgeous Lowcountry vistas continues to dazzle Club Members. Downstairs in The Living Room, Members come together for lite fare, cocktails, and conversation throughout the day, as well as live music every Saturday night. And in Tom’s Kitchen, a lively, new clubhouse gathering space, Chef Doug Blair invites Members to don an apron and hone their own culinary skills with engaging, hands-on cooking demonstrations throughout the year.

Link Outside The Box

Cassique, the Club’s second private golf course, recalls the classic links courses of Ireland and Scotland. The landscape it traverses, however, is uniquely its own. Hall-Of-Famer Tom Watson designed the par 72, 6,960-yard layout across rolling green meadows and lush marsh savannas. Vaulting maritime forestry and rippling tidal pools create a mesmerizing natural backdrop for days spent in amiable competition with friends. At the Golf Learning Center, a digital practice range pairs state-of-the-art technology with a full range of instructional programs. Five-time LPGA Teacher of the Year, Carol Preisinger, leads a team of golf pros to help access your swing, monitor your progress, and offer customized recommendations to improve your game. And to best accessorize for your days on the greens, the Pro Shop at Cassique Clubhouse boasts top brands including Titleist, Callaway, and TaylorMade.
